Application Instructions and Information
AMDRO Bug Bait is a convenient, ready-to-use bait. It remains effective after rain or watering for many days. This product can be used around lawns, ground covers, fruit, flower, and ornamental plants - even in vegetable gardens! It is packaged in an easy-to-apply 1.5lb. shaker canister for economical, quick, and effective use.
AMDRO Bug Bait is a 2% metaldehyde and 5% Carbaryl meal formulation.
Use AMDRO Bug Bait to Kill These Insects: Crickets, grasshoppers, earwigs, cutworms, ants, sow bugs, pill bugs, armyworms, millipedes, darkling beetles, slugs, and snails.
When to Use This Product:
- Apply when the air is calm to avoid drift and contact with eyes and skin.
- Apply when the treated area is damp or water well before applying bait.
- Preferred baiting application is at night, as these pests feed mainly at night.
How to Apply AMDRO Bug Bait:
- Wear chemical resistant gloves.
- Apply product directly from original container onto soil to be treated.
- Start applying at the farthest corner of treatment area and work backward to avoid contact with treated surfaces.
- Do not repeat application more than once every seven days.
- Do not apply product more than four times per season.
- Scatter bait lightly on soil in area to be treated. Apply heavier if infestation is severe.
- Apply bait every two weeks until infestation is under control.
- Use more frequently if heavy or prolonged rain, which can shorten effective period of bait.
- For Mole Crickets, water-in thoroughly (1/4 to ½ inch of water) following application to move the insecticide into the root zone.
- If insects are invading from adjacent properties, apply a pencil-thick line to the entire length of the infested area to form a barrier and result in excellent control.
Rate of Application:
- Use approximately one pound per 1750 square feet.
- Around the following plants, use one pound per 2200 square feet: cucumber, melons, squash.
