When applied properly, IMAGE Herbicide is easy to use. However, it's always important to keep a few things in mind when working with IMAGE Herbicide:
IMAGE for St. Augustinegrass & Centipedegrass Do's
- DO mix this IMAGE concentrate product with water only.
- DO use on established St. Augustinegrass and Centipedegrass.
- DO use IMAGE Herbicide for St. Augustinegrass and Centipedegrass to control Dollarweed, Sandspur, Florida Betony, Annual bluegrass and other problem weeds (see label for complete list).
- DO apply with a conventional compressed air garden sprayer equipped with a flat fan spray tip.
- DO apply when the air is calm and no wind exists.
- DO apply only on healthy turfgrass which is not under heat or drought stress.
- DO apply during summer for spot treatment only.
- DO read the complete label and follow all directions carefully.
IMAGE for St. Augustinegrass & Centipedegrass Don'ts
- DON'T use near adjacent desirable plants or in greenhouses, or injury may occur.
- DON'T apply to rooting area of trees, ornamentals, vegetables or other desirable plants.
- DON'T apply to areas where the natural drainage would carry the atrazine to adjacent desirable plants.
- DON'T apply under windy conditions.
- DON'T apply when temperatures exceed 90°F.
- DON'T overlap when spraying.
- DON'T use on organic (muck) or alkaline soil.
- DON'T replant treated areas (except for listed grasses) within 12 months of treatment.
- DON'T overseed turf areas within 6 months of treatment.
- DON'T use in sand or loamy soils where the water table (groundwater) is close to the surface and where these soils are very permeable, i.e. well-drained.
