Summer Control vs. Winter Control
Just like most plant growth and grasses, weeds are seasonal. So it's a good
thing IMAGE herbicide is not. IMAGE is a weed killer for all seasons.
Using IMAGE, however, may differ when applying it to summer weeds vs. winter
weeds in the South.
Summer Weeds Include the Following:

Grasses:
Unwanted Bahiagrass, Crabgrass, Perennial Ryegrass

Sedges:
Purple/Yellow Nutsedge (IMAGE is the only
consumer product labeled for Nutsedge control), Green Kyllinga

Broadleaves:
Dollarweed, Virginia Buttonweed, Violets
Treating Summer Weeds with IMAGE Herbicide:

Apply IMAGE
after the weeds have emerged.

IMAGE should
be applied following the spring "green up" but before the
onset of winter dormancy.

Use on ESTABLISHED
lawns only.

DO NOT apply
IMAGE to transitional turf or during slow growth periods.
Winter Weeds Include the Following:

Grasses:
Annual Bluegrass, Tall Fescue, Perennial Ryegrass

Broadleaves:
Dandelion, Wild Onion and Garlic, White Clover, Henbit, Some species
of Chickweed
Treating Winter Weeds with IMAGE Herbicide:

IMAGE should
be applied following the first killing frost.

IMAGE can
be applied to most weeds before OR after the weeds have emerged (Wild
Onion and Garlic must be AFTER they have emerged).

DO
NOT use IMAGE on grass species that do not go dormant in cold winter
months (St. Augustine grass).
